ACO was established in 2012. ACO is a locally rooted and globally oriented architectural design firm that combines international research, local knowledge and global presence tocreate world-class design solutions based on an in-depth understanding of local societies and cultures, customized to meet the needs of different groups around the world.
Yingdong Gao
As an internationally recognized architect and planner, Yingdong Gao has a deep, understanding of the development of major cities and their markets. He is passionate about creating architecture that transcends time and does not follow the crowd. These are buildings that respond appropriately to the local context and culture, and are able to meet the needs of future change and development. His project experience ranges from large-scale cultural resorts, mixed-use projects, retail projects, master plans, etc. in China and Asia Pacific.
Yingdong has over a decade in work experience in the field of design and real estate development. Upon completing his B. Arch at Tsing Hua University, Mr. Gao worked in Shanghai, where he led architectural design projects closely with real estate developers in formulating the program, conceptualizing the design and preparing master plans and building codes for clients. Mr. Gao travel to North America, Europe and found ACO in Vancouver.
Mr. Gao is an urban and architectural designer with more than two decades of experience in large Master Plans, urban revitalization, land-use planning and transit-oriented developments. His abilities to overlay developmental structures with open space and mobility solutions make him a leader in the profession with numerous awards for his design abilities. Gao has an incredible insight to protect historical buildings and restore traditional cultural towns.
Hao He
Hao He joined ACO in 2013 and is a talented design architect with over 30 years of design experience. He has been involved in and completed various types of high-end buildings, large-scale cultural and tourism resorts, hotels and other projects in USA and China. As a planner, Hao is dedicated to solving transportation, revitalization, and housing issues through context-driven design and strategic planning.
Hao was educated as an architect and Planner and extensively through cities in North America and Europe, where his passion for city planning began. He completed his studies in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and US, receiving dual Masters in Architecture and Urban Design.
Hao serves on several international firms, as SWA, Torti Gallas, and Chief architect of China Vanke for many years. His completed projects scope to urban revitalization, ski resort design, entertainment landscape, equity, place-making and US military base planning.
Ling Su
Ms. Su is the director of preservation projects at ACO. She is certified architect, graduated from University of Edinburgh, major in Architectural Conservation, aims to provide broad of knowledge and skills necessary to dedicate to many professional sub-disciplines of historic preservation, ranging from heritage management to conservation architecture.
Ms. Su has been practicing architecture for over 30 years and has extensive experience in Mainland China and Singapore. She has led a wide range of projects, including planning and design of cultural and tourism projects, urban regeneration and heritage preservation and restoration, as well as master planning and architectural design of mixed-use developments such as office, commercial and condominiums, etc., and her designs have won numerous awards and have become landmarks of the local area.
She is well versed in identifying new trends in the market and continues to explore architectural opportunities at ACO.
Jing Jing
Ms. Jing graduated from San Jose State University, majoring in interior design, NCIDQ-certified senior interior designer in USA. She has been engaged in the interior design industry for 30 years. Under her leadership, ACO Interiors has grown to become a large-scale and renowned interior design studio providing specialized design services for hotels, shopping malls, offices, integrated resorts and residences. She is passionate about design, and is committed to developing flexible planning and design concepts that are in tune with the ever-changing design trends.
Zhuo Zhang
Mr.zhang is a highly experienced designer whose project depth ranges from small intimate spaces to regional-scale master plans, from modern metropolitan to natural preservation. his design works span a wide range of large-scale residential, commercial, office, ski resort and natural landscape planning projects. While he strives to depict the future colorfully on the drawings, he transforms the design concept into a truly perfect scene through actual construction, so that the unique value of each project can be maximized. Zhuo received his Master degree in Landscape architecture, and has continued his passion for inquiry as an Adjunct Professor at Architecture School. He often lectures at other universities, including Tongji University, Donghua University on urban revitalization, city health, and landscape arts.
HongHua Yu
Mr. Yu developed a passion for architecture and urban planning while in college, insured by his mentor who showed him it was feasible to bring about positive change through strategic design and planning. Mr. Yu is a lifelong learner of interdisciplinary studies. His varied interests and experiences are synthesized into and inform his work in mixed-used project, ski resort, summer camp, and entertainment projects.
He has a passion for learning and personal development. Being equipped with a knack for problem solving comes with some awesome superpowers. Adaptation is his forte, whether it be modifying systems for efficiency and ease or mediating in the workplace. Mr. Yu loves travel, art, culture, nature, adventures, and all things vintage. Mr. Yu has over 20 years professional experience and has led the team accomplished tons of high-end projects.
Yue Shen
Mr. Shen has more than 20 years of professional working experience and licensed both first class registered architect and registered urban and rural planner in China. The projects he has participated in and presided over involve all levels of planning and design. He has an incredible talent to visualize the potential of places into clear and efficient urban frameworks. and has accumulated rich experience in master planning, tourism planning and urban design. Mr. Shen is a good team leader. He is good at communication and coordination and rich experience in teamwork.
